Treeing Walker Coonhound & Mountain Cur Mix Miss Ruthie is very demure and very cute-sy Ruthie is a very sweet, well-behaved, quiet girl. She is not over-bearing, but does have moments where she gets bouts of energy and likes to play. Ruthie loves to cuddle and will want to go wherever you go! She is like your shadow. She lived with another dog and cats. Ruthie needs a home with no small children. Her previous family said she seemed to get very over-stimulated and was unsure of the neighbors' children. Teenagers and up should be okay! She can be a bit standoffish with men and new people. We have found she either loves you or she will try to hide until she feels more comfortable. Great Dane & Boxer Mix Hi! My name is Mack (previously Matthew) and I am a very loving dog! My brother and I did not get along very well (we were both unneutered at the time). Over the course of a year and few months, we really got into some scuffles. When you hopefully come to se me, you will find I have a lot of old scars along with some new scars. I am hoping these will fade away pretty soon. I just ask you overlook my scars and past, and see that I am a whole new dog who likes other dogs). Since coming to the shelter, I LOVE the dog neighbors. I am always excited to see them and want to play with them! The best part, I also LOVE kids! My previous family had very young kids that I grew up with. I loved them very much! I really enjoy bath time and being played with! I believe I am a lap dog, but the staff at my shelter keep telling me I am not. But they laugh, so I think that they are just kidding and start giving them kisses! I know basic commands and I am eager to please! I hope you come meet me or consider fostering me until my Furever home comes along!! My information says I do not get along with male dogs. Pit Bull Terrier Hi! My name is Bella. As a recent newcomer to shelter life, I am just getting settled into my temporary new housing. How temporary will depend on you. I am super friendly with everyone and that includes my canine friends. I had been an emotional support dog for my owner who now must move far away leaving me behind. I have had a trainer work with me and have learned many useful things like retrieving my toys. These activities help me channel my energy. I walk nicely on a leash and am a good car rider too. Coonhound Mix Hi my name is Darla! I was found running loose with my brother. My brother and I were split up and placed in two different shelters due to space problems in the one facility. To be expected, I felt timid and shy when I first arrived. The staff are spending time with me so I don't feel quite so alone. Snuggling up with my new human would really help me feel safe and loved. I am learning to walk on leash; something quite new to me. An owner who will provide me too with a good potty routine along with a lot of praise when I get it right, would be terrific. Terrier Pick me! Pick me! I guarantee you won't be sorry. I am two years old and a love bug with everyone. I am an active girl who looks forward to nice walks, along with plenty of play time. Silver/Blue Pit Bull Indy, short for Indigo, is a 1 ½ y/o strikingly beautiful female silver/blue pit bull. She had been found as a stray by our local Animal Control and sadly, no one came to claim her. Given her young age, Indy has an energetic side to her but she also has a soft and sensitive side as well. Her sweet disposition will definitely win you over. On the flip side, a bull in a China shop might best describe Indy’s energetic side. Her younger self comes out when you see the fun she has flipping her toys in the air and giving them a good shake as they land. Her sensitive side shows her willingness to please. Indy will make a wonderful companion and lap pet (if allowed) but will need an owner who will be patient and willing to continue her training. Indy is spayed and up to date with her shots. Breed - Mixed Breed Violet is a very sweet 7 year old pup. She was quite thin and not well cared for when she came into our local Animal Control. Having put on weight, she is with us at the shelter now where, we will continue caring for her. Violet is spayed and shots are being updated. Ideally, a home where she can be pampered and loved would be our wish for his nice girl. Please reach out if interested in either fostering or adopting Violet.
