Melissa drove all the way from Boonsboro, MD, on a mission: Adopt a male cat. But that plan evaporated when she met Raven, a female kitten with just one eye. “She was in her cage and I walked by, and she stuck her paw out and grabbed my arm. She literally pulled me over,” Melissa says.
Why did Melissa drive all this way? Because she had a good experience adopting a cat from us before. “When I rode up there 15 years ago and I saw the trailer, I wasn’t sure what to think. But now I tell everybody to go to HSMC because they take such good care of all the animals.”
