I LOVE going for long walks, hiking in the woods is the BEST! I also enjoy playing fetch and giving hugs. I am pretty insecure, so I really need someone that has the time to show me I am safe and not coming back to the shelter. I love the shelter staff, but I do not like the loud barking from the other dogs - it really scares me. I give hugs as a way to seek comfort, reassurance, and get a sense of safety from you. I am spayed and up to date on my vaccinations. I will make a lovely companion and a great addition to any family. I need a home with older kids over the age of 13. -
Hound Mix Boone has been a long-time resident of HSMC. Found as a stray back in 2016, Boone had his problems adjusting to shelter life. In time, he overcame some behavior hurtles and eventually was able to be placed in a foster home. He was with his foster for 11/2 years but sadly finds himself back at the shelter. Boone is a sweet boy. He does have a mind of his own so will need an owner who will give him love and affection but most importantly set boundaries for him as he acclimates to his new home. A home with no children is a must. He is neutered and up to date with his shots. He loves car rides and hanging out in the yard with his human. Boxer/Terrier Hi there! My name is Baura (Hindi for Blossom... Because I have really blossomed at the shelter!). I am the sweetest girl and would make a great companion for any adult family. I love to play and go for walks! The staff and volunteers here at the Humane Society are working with me on basic training skills and teaching me patience with my toys. I am doing fantastic with this so far! I am very smart and would love to continue to learn new tricks / skills! I hope you can arrange a day to come meet me at the shelter!
