VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR WALKING DOGS
HSMC is in desperate need of volunteers to help walk dogs and play with them in the fenced in play yards behind the dog runs. The dogs need to get out daily and have that human contact if possible, otherwise they have a hard time being adopted. They need time to exercise in the play yards and/or be walked. We also need volunteers to come to the cattery to play with and groom the cats. If you have the time, even one hour a week, please contact Andrea Anderson, shelter manager at 304-258-5592.

Phone Numbers and Hints to Report Local Animal Issues

CURRENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
Persons needed to transport trapped free roaming cats to/from Vet Clinic in Martinsburg for spay/neuter. Also need individuals to learn trapping procedures for free roaming cats and help administer our Trap, Neuter, Release (TNR) Program. Contact Ed Duncan (304) 258-9410
Volunteers needed to help at HSMC off-site adoption fairs held in Martinsburg, WV, Hagerstown, MD and Winchester, VA on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year. HSMC will arrange transportation. Contact Andrea Anderson (304) 258-5592.
Necessary qualifications for above positions are an ability to work with others, a love of animals, and a desire to help your community. All applicants over 18 years old will be gladly considered.

“No one ever made a greater mistake
than he who did nothing because
he thought he could only do a little.”

- Sir Edmund Burke

Don't make the mistake of doing nothing
because you can only do a little...

Ask about the wide variety of ways you
can help the Humane Society of Morgan
County. There are lots opportunities in
addition to so many different things to
do at the Adoption Center. You can
help at events, with planning events,
and through all kinds of ongoing duties
that can be done from your home...
